What is included in a No Gap Check-up and Clean?
A No Gap* check-up and clean includes;
- Examination
- Scale
- Clean
- Fluoride treatment
- Diagnostic X-Rays where clinically required
*‘No gap’ means there are no out-of-pocket costs on a selected range of dental treatments (as long as your annual dental limit has not been used). Preventative dental covers consultation, scale & clean, X-rays and fluoride as part of a check-up and clean package only. Excludes treatment-only appointments.
How many No Gap check-up and cleans am I entitled to?
If you hold Extras cover with RBHS you can receive up to 2 No Gap check-up and cleans per year.
What percentage saving will I receive if I visit a smile.com.au dentist?
The percentage saving on dental treatments will depend on the dental practice's regular fees. There is a maximum Smile Fee for around 60 of the most common dental treatments. If the smile.com.au dentist has a high regular fee, the percentage saving will be higher.
Remember, if you have RBHS Extras cover, you will get at least 15% off and up to 40% off the usual practice fee on all dental services such as check-ups & cleans, fillings, dentures, root canals, crown & bridges.
How do I receive the savings?
When you show your RBHS membership card, the dentist’s billing system will automatically reduce your fees. The claim will then be automatically processed when your RBHS membership card is swiped through HICAPS.
