Could you do your Rehab at Home?

Hospitals lack home comforts. That is why doing your rehabilitation at home can be a great option. This allows you to return home from hospital earlier where it is safe to do so and your specialist agrees.*

Rehab at Home

Rehab at Home is a hospital substitute treatment program for rehab services in the comfort of your home rather than staying in hospital. It lets you receive short-term therapy services like physiotherapy and wound care after surgery at home.

What is it for?

Rehab at Home can help you recover from:

  • joint replacements
  • fractures
  • neurological conditions
  • respiratory conditions
  • cardiac conditions
  • problems and falls
  • spinal conditions
How will it help?

Our healthcare providers give you access to a physiotherapist and an occupational therapist in the comfort of your home. They will work with your doctor to ensure your treatment plan is right for you, help with your rehab recovery and get you back on your feet before you know it.

The program includes:

  • physiotherapy
  • occupational therapy
  • wound management
  • help with planning and understanding your care

On top of that, our providers will make sure that your home is safe and suitable for the care you need.

*You need to have already served your 12-month waiting period for pre-existing conditions to use this program. This means that if you want to use it in the first 12 months of having or upgrading cover, we will need to check with your doctors to make sure it is not for a condition you already had. If it is not a pre-existing condition, only the 2-month waiting period applies.

The provider will let you know if there are any out-of-pocket fees – in most cases there are no costs!
